Wayne County Crimestoppers is offering a reward for information leading to the recovery of a stolen handgun and the arrest of those responsible.
Authorities say a Taurus 709 9mm handgun was stolen from a truck owned by Rob Vaught. The theft remains under investigation.
In addition to the Crimestoppers reward, Vaught is also offering a $500 reward for information that results in the return of the firearm. Crimestoppers is encouraging anyone with knowledge of the incident to come forward.
Tips can be submitted anonymously by calling or texting Wayne County Crimestoppers at 618-842-9777. A reward will be paid for information that helps solve the case.
