Carmi Police report the arrest of two individuals over the Christmas holiday on various charges.
Media reports say the first arrest came on Christmas Eve, when Carmi Police, along with the White County Sheriff’s Department, took Ethan Mercer of Crossville into custody on charges of reckless conduct and endangering the life of a child.
Then about ten minutes later, 56-year-old Eric Masterson of Burnt Prairie was arrested by Carmi police after a vehicle stop. The officer knew he had a White County warrant for unlawful use of methamphetamine.
Both were taken to the White County Jail following their arrests. Masterson was later released per the conditions of the warrant.
