Fairfield Mayor Gary Moore has announced the closure of an alley in the downtown area due to safety concerns.

For the protection of residents and business owners, the alley located between the former Mexican restaurant and Nate’s Billiards is closed until further notice. City officials report that the west wall of the former restaurant poses a danger, with concerns that it could potentially collapse.

The alley has been blocked off, and the public is urged to stay clear of the area.

Mayor Moore emphasized that the closure is necessary to prevent possible injuries or property damage. Residents and visitors are reminded: PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THE ALLEY.
