EDWARDS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO CONVENE FOR FIRST MEETING OF 2026

The Edwards County Commissioners will hold their first meeting of the new year on Monday, January 5, 2026, at the Edwards County Courthouse. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. Commissioners will start by approving the minutes from the previous meeting, followed by a report from Sheriff Darby Boewe. An executive session is planned to address personnel and finance matters.
The agenda includes discussion and action on several county matters:

County Health Office: Updates and reports from the health office.

911 Board Appointments: Commissioners will consider appointments and reappointments to the 911 Board.

County Highway: The board will review a funding resolution and a joint agreement related to the resurfacing project for County Highway 13.

County Treasurer: Trustee resolutions from the recent tax sale sealed bid will be considered.
County Highway Building: An executive session will provide an update on the county highway building.

Elm Street: Discussion will focus on the north entrances to the courthouse square.

Farmland Lease Agreement: The board will consider the farmland lease agreement for 2026.

Landfill: Commissioners will review the county’s waste management plan to ensure compliance with EPA regulations.

EMS: The board will address a resignation and new appointment to the EMS Board.

Correspondence and Discussion: General correspondence and any additional discussion items will be addressed.

Financial Matters: Approval and payment of claims presented will be considered before the meeting is recessed or adjourned.
