HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS WRESTLING:
The Fairfield Lady Mules Wrestling team was in action Friday in their first individual tournament of the season at the Lady Wildcat Invitational at Marion. The Lady Mules faced off against wrestlers from Carterville, Freeburg, Anna-Jonesboro, McCracken County, KY, Marion, Murphysboro, Champaign, Herrin, Benton, West Frankfort, and Sparta. Fairfield was able to pick up 7 wins on the day and had one wrestler finish as medalist. Macy McCulley picked up one win by pinfall, Destiny Cox picked up 1 forfeit win and 2 pinfalls, and Remi Taylor picked up 2 wins by Decision and 1 win by Pinfall and finished in 3rd place in her weight class. The Lady Mules will be back in action again today at the Benton Invitational.
