NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE FORECASTS WARM-UP AND POTENTIAL SEVERE WEATHER FOR THE REGION

The National Weather Service in Paducah says a notable warm-up for the region as the week begins, bringing a welcome break from winter’s chill before the possibility of rain and severe weather later in the week.

According to forecasters, Today will feature sunny skies and a high near 56 degrees, offering residents a pleasant start to the week. The warming trend continues into Tuesday, with a mix of clouds and sunshine and afternoon temperatures expected to reach a comfortable 62 degrees.

Wednesday’s outlook remains mild, with a similar pattern of sunshine and clouds. However, the National Weather Service warns that clouds will begin to increase late in the day, signaling a shift in the weather pattern.

Beginning Wednesday night and continuing through Friday, the forecast calls for a period of widespread rain. In addition to the rain, meteorologists are closely monitoring the potential for some severe weather during this timeframe.
