HIGH SCHOOL BOYS BASKETBALL:
The Fairfield Mules Basketball team was in action once again last night, this time on the road at Edwards County in a conference matchup. The Freshmen Mules kicked off the night with a 28-21 win over Edwards County. The JV squad followed that up with a dominating 55-16 victory over the Lions. In the Varsity matchup, the Mules took an early lead and never looked back, earning an important 52-34 conference victory over the Edward County Lions. The Mules were led in scoring by Lane Robson with 15 points including 5 3-pointers and Jake Easton with 12 points. Fairfield now moves to 9-6 overall and 4-0 in the BDC East. The Mules will be in action once again on Friday night at the Mule Barn versus the state-ranked Lawrenceville Indians who only have one loss on the season.

HIGH SCHOOL WRESTLING:
On Monday night, the Fairfield Mules Wrestling team was in action for a Tri-Match with Centralia and Herrin at Centralia that was rescheduled from earlier in the season.
Fairfield defeated Centralia 56-21 but fell just short against Herrin 40-34. Against Centralia the Mules earned 9 victories with Carter Poole and Corbyn Griffith picking up forfeit wins, Braxton Kirk, 6-3, and Hayden Felowitz, 3-2, picking up decision wins, Vance Vanway with a Technical Fall, and Pinfall wins from Anthony Granfeldt, Laython Craft, Lane Witucki, and Braxton Marshel. Against Herrin, Fairfield earned 5 victories with Hayden Felowitz picking up a Forfeit win, Jedd Wellen with 10-0 Decision, and Pinfall wins from Carter Poole, Lane Witucki, and Grant Jennette.

(St. Louis, MO) — The St. Louis Cardinals are bolstering their bullpen. The team traded for Guardians lefty Justin Bruihl yesterday. St. Louis sent cash back to Cleveland to complete the deal. The 25-year-old had stayed healthy throughout his first three NBA seasons, but already missed 15 games earlier this season with a torn UCL in his left thumb. Murray has averaged 14.6 points through 19 games played this season.

The franchise now has three months from when the refusals were issued to ask for an extension to file a new application within a six-month period. The team has played with that nickname since the Philadelphia Athletics began playing in 1901.

He’ll become the Buckeyes’ sixth wideout taken in the first round over the past four years.
