The North Wayne Community Unit School District #200 Board met Wednesday night at Cisne Middle School. Superintendent Adam Ellis reported that the board approved several items on the consent agenda, including the minutes from the December 17th meeting, personal leave and dock day requests, and the resignation of Lauren Grace Conard as CMS Assistant Softball Coach. The board also accepted a generous anonymous donation of $2,500 to the Cisne High School FFA.
In other business, the board approved payment of December bills and an agreement with Garaventa Lift Company to replace the lift at Cisne High School. The board also gave the green light for an overnight trip for CHS FFA members to attend the Ground Zero Conference in Carbondale on January 30th and 31st.
In personnel matters, Chynna Keyser was hired as the CMS Health and PE Teacher for the 2026-27 school year, and Rick Porter was approved to serve as a volunteer softball coach for CHS.
