SOUTHERN ILLINOIS CRITTER FIXERS EXPAND EFFORTS TO CONTROL PET POPULATION

The Southern Illinois Critter Fixers, a nonprofit organization based in Cisne, is ramping up its mission to control the rising stray and feral pet population throughout the region. President, Mary Murphy says the group is committed to providing low-cost or free spaying and neutering services for both cats and dogs. Serving multiple counties in Southern Illinois, Critter Fixers works alongside veterinarians and volunteers to trap, transport, and return animals after surgery. Their goal is to ensure healthier animals and to reduce the number of unwanted litters in local communities. The group is encouraging residents of Wayne County and surrounding areas to reach out if they need assistance or want to get involved. They are also calling for donations and public support to continue their mission. Individual donations are tax deductible.
