Rodney Dale Smith, 56, of Fairfield passed away at 6:16PM on Wednesday January 21, 2026, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville IN. He was a driver for Willpower trucking. Rodney was born in Fairfield on September 8, 1969, to Jerry Dean and Margaret Louise (Briley) Smith.
Rodney is survived by his daughters- Jahayla Smith, McKenzie Smith and Madison Smith all of Fairfield; two grandchildren; brother- Roger Smith of Fairfield; sister- Shelly Dixon of Fairfield. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Rodney will be cremated with a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to help with cremation and will be accepted at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home who is assisting the family with cremation.
