Fairfield Memorial Hospital honors an employee each month who has been nominated by their peers for providing extraordinary patient care and customer service within and outside of the Hospital.
Britton Johnson, R.T.(R)(ARRT), of the Diagnostic Imaging Department, has been selected as Fairfield Memorial Hospital’s January 2026 Employee of the Month. Since joining FMH in June 2023, Britton has become known as a true team player who consistently goes above and beyond for both patients and coworkers. Whether assisting during mammograms, jumping in to help with X-ray, DEXA, or scheduling, answering phones, or staying late to ensure the department stays on track, Britton never hesitates to lend a hand. Her positive attitude, tireless work ethic, and genuine care—often seen in the small but meaningful moments, like walking patients to their cars or checking in on coworkers during busy shifts—make her an invaluable part of the FMH team.

“I am honored to recognize Britton Johnson as Employee of the Month. We had the privilege of watching Britton begin her journey at FMH as a Diagnostic Imaging student, graduate from the Rend Lake Radiology Program, and successfully pass her registry board. I still remember receiving the phone call from Britton sharing the exciting news that she had passed her boards and accepted our full-time position as a Mammogram Technologist. We were thrilled to welcome her to our team. I have watched Britton grow both personally and professionally, and it has been a pleasure to see her consistently demonstrate the skills we should all strive to practice every day—greeting patients and coworkers with a smile, making eye contact, offering help to others, and approaching each day with a positive attitude. Britton often arrives saying, “This is going to be a GREAT day no matter what!” The Diagnostic Imaging Department strongly supports our students, and Britton is a wonderful example of the many students we have hired after they graduate and successfully pass the challenging registry board to become certified.” Commented Mendie Johnson, MBA, BS, RDMS, RDCS, RVT, RT (R), Director of Imaging Services at Fairfield Memorial Hospital.
