Paul Michael Motil, 69 of Enfield, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at Deaconess Regional Healthcare in Marion, Illinois. He was born on Tuesday, January 15, 1957, in Akron, Ohio, a son of George and Elizabeth Motil. Paul was retired, having worked as a heavy equipment operator and in electrical maintenance last working for Infinity Molding and Assembly in Posey County, Indiana.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and being outdoors. He loved his family and the time he spent with them. Survivors include his life partner Billie Motil of Enfield, IL; children, Michael (Tonya) Motil, Jessica (Scott) Ilg, Joseph Motil, Lori (Shain) Pownall, Rachel (Chucky) Saunders, Donnalaina (Randy) Stecyk and Charidy (Jimmy) Roberts; grandchildren, Matthew Motil, Abigail Motil, Clyde Motil, Bridgete Motil, Corbin Ilg, Mallory Ilg, Emily, Motil, Raelynn Motil, Ashley Pownall, Christopher Pownall, Samantha (Ryan) Reinhardt, Felicia (Bobby) Howton, Jamie Conrad, Stephanie (Brady) Crane, Randy (Keighley) Stecyk Jr., Colton (Shelby) Stecyk, Dalton Stecyk, Dakota Stecyk, Makenzie (Dalton) Gray, Makyleigh Roberts, Zaiden Langan, and Kaisen Langan; 28 great-grandchildren; brothers, Tommy (Debbie) Motil, Mark (Vikki) Motil and Ray (Diane) Motil and several nieces and nephews. Paul was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends and family may visit from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 1, 2026, in the chapel at Roberts and Cook Funeral Service, 101 Edgewood Lane, Carmi, Illinois. In lieu of flowers contributions in Paul’s memory may be made to Chemo Buddies and will be accepted at Roberts and Cook Funeral Service who has been entrusted with the arrangements.
