WAYNE COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT NEWS FROM THURSDAY

On Thursday in Wayne County Circuit Court, 31-year-old, Kayti Carter of Fairfieldpled guilty to Retail Theft. Carter was placed on reporting court supervision for one year and ordered to pay court costs. She received credit for 197 days already served in the Wayne County Jail. As part of her plea agreement, four other cases were dismissed. The court also ordered Carter to take all prescribed medications as directed.

Kesney Vallette, 25, of Mt. Erie pled guilty to Criminal Damage to Property. Vallette was sentenced to one year of court supervision and assessed court costs. She was credited for two days served in the Wayne County Jail, and one additional case was dismissed per the plea agreement.

Mark Feldman, 42, of Fairfield, admitted in court to violating a previous probation order related to a 2025 theft case. Feldman pled guilty and was sentenced to three years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, with court costs assessed. The sentence will run concurrently with a separate sentence he is already serving in IDOC from Edwards County. As part of the plea agreement, one case was dismissed.
