ILLINOIS GAS PRICES DROP 4.8 CENTS IN LAST WEEK, NOW BELOW $3 PER GALLON

The average price of gasoline in Illinois has fallen by 4.8 cents per gallon over the last week, according to the latest report from GasBuddy, a popular website and app tracking fuel prices throughout the United States and Canada.

As of Monday, February 2nd, the state’s average price at the pump stands at $2.89 per gallon. While that figure is 2.4 cents higher than one month ago, it is a significant 31.5 cents per gallon lower than prices recorded at this time last year.

Nationally, gas prices have also seen a slight decline, falling 0.9 cents in the past week.
