By Mark Wells Feb 5, 2026 | 6:00 AM

Students at Fairfield Community High School are rallying together to support their classmate, Marcus Draper, who was recently diagnosed with leukemia. Marcus, a freshman at FCHS, was transferred from Fairfield to St. Louis for treatment on Monday (February 2nd) and is expected to be absent from school for at least nine months.

In support of Marcus and his family, students are selling raffle tickets for a chance to win one of 25 assorted gift cards. Tickets are available for $1 each or six for $5, with all proceeds going directly to Marcus and his family to help cover expenses during his treatment.

The raffle is being organized by fellow FCHS students, Torrie Attebury and Mya Crippen. Anyone interested in purchasing tickets or supporting the cause is encouraged to reach out to Torrie or Mya on Facebook for raffle tickets or more information

All funds collected will be used to assist Marcus during his anticipated extended absence, helping ease the financial burden on his family during this challenging time.
