DRY WEATHER AND WARMING TREND IN FORECAST, SNOWMELT TO CONTINUE

The National Weather Service is forecasting dry weather across the region through the weekend, with a brief warm-up expected on Friday before colder air makes a return on Saturday.

Lingering snowmelt will continue over the next several days, with most remaining snow expected to disappear by early next week. River levels are anticipated to stay very low during this period.

Looking ahead, a significant warming trend is set to begin Sunday and persist through much of next week. Forecasters are monitoring a strong potential for temperatures to reach the 50s for several days, with the possibility of highs climbing into the low 60s as a ridge develops over the area.

A couple of frontal systems could bring rain showers by mid-week, but temperatures are expected to remain mild enough that any precipitation will fall as rain rather than snow.
