
Matchbox Twenty, one of the most iconic names in pop rock, will perform at the 2026 Illinois State Fair. The band is set to take the Illinois Lottery Grandstand Stage on Sunday, August 16th.
“Matchbox Twenty is one of the most recognizable names in pop rock, and we’re thrilled to welcome them to the Illinois State Fair,” said Illinois Department of Agriculture Director Jerry Costello II. “It’s a great fit for the diverse music fans who come to the Illinois State Fair.”
The group’s hit albums include Yourself or Someone Like You, the quadruple-platinum Mad Season, double-platinum More Than You Think You Are, and the gold-certified North, which marked their first No. 1 debut on the Billboard 200. Their most recent album, Where The Light Goes, was released after an 11-year hiatus.
“Matchbox Twenty brings an incredible energy and a catalog of songs that instantly resonates with audiences,” said Illinois State Fair Manager Rebecca Clark. “This show will be a can’t-miss moment for fairgoers who grew up with their music and for a whole new generation discovering it.”
Tickets for Matchbox Twenty will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster. Tier 3 tickets are $75, Tier 2 tickets are $85, Tier 1 tickets are $95, Track tickets are $100, and Blue Ribbon tickets are $150. A $30 Pre-Show Party ticket is also available as an upgrade for all paid concerts.
The 2026 Illinois State Fair will run from August 13th through August 23rd in Springfield.
