Several individuals appeared in Wayne County Circuit Court Tuesday to enter pleas and receive sentences:
Bryan Bailey Jr., 20, of Fairfield admitted to violating probation on a previous methamphetamine possession charge from January 2024. Judge Denton Aud sentenced Bailey to three years in the Illinois Department of Corrections Impact Incarceration Program (Boot Camp) and court costs. Bailey received credit for 109 days served in jail. Two additional cases were dismissed as part of the agreement.
Charles Murphy, 61, of Mill Shoals pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of methamphetamine. Murphy was sentenced to two years probation, court costs, and credited for four days served. One case and one count were dismissed per the plea agreement.
Michael Hays, 35, of Carmi pleaded guilty to reckless conduct and received a one-year conditional discharge, court costs, and credit for 13 days time already served. Two counts in the case were dismissed.
Mikkel Pierce, 20, of Bone Gap admitted to violating second chance probation related to previous burglary and methamphetamine possession charges. Pierce was re-sentenced to two years probation with a 180-day stayed jail sentence if violated, plus court costs.
Johnathan Fletcher, 33, of Fairfield pleaded guilty to possession of less than 5 grams of methamphetamine. He was placed on 12 months probation, ordered to have no contact with two individuals, must complete 60 hours of public service, and undergo a court-approved alcohol and drug assessment. Two cases and three counts were dismissed as part of the agreement.
