Wayne City High School has recognized Emma Griswold as the Senior of the Month for February. Emma, the daughter of Matt and Mary Griswold, has been honored for her academic achievements, extracurricular involvement, and future aspirations.
Emma is actively involved in a variety of school organizations, including Beta Club, History Club, FCA, FCCLA, Apologetix, Journalism, Volleyball and Red Ribbon. Outside of school, she contributes to her community through her church, youth group and is a counselor at church camp. Emma is also employed at Sweeties in Wayne City.
Looking ahead, Emma plans to pursue an associates degree in science while attending Southeastern Illinois College on a Volleyball Scholarship. She intends to spend her first two years at Southeastern before transferring to Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) to complete her studies. Her long-term goal is to earn a master’s degree in Family & Consumer Science Education.
