COUNTRY Financial and the Illinois Farm Bureau are teaming up to provide essential economic and financial information for farmers at a series of ag summits throughout Illinois this month.
The events will feature presentations from top industry experts, including David Widmar, an agricultural economist and researcher; Kris Kline, manager and financial specialist at COUNTRY Financial; and Amy Rademaker, rural health and farm safety specialist.
Illinois Farm Bureau members who attend any of the summits will receive a “Peace of Mind” planner, a booklet designed to help consolidate important documents and information in one place.
Kris Kline will focus on estate and succession planning for farmers, outlining the key components of a strong succession plan and guiding attendees through the process step-by-step. “Estate and succession planning works to keep Illinois farms in the hands of Illinois families,” said Kline. “Death, disability, or illness can change the farm operation overnight. Estate and succession planning ensures the operation can continue and the family is protected.”
Locally, the Ag Summit will take place Wednesday, from 4 to 8:30 p.m., at the Cedarhurst Center for the Arts in Mt. Vernon.
Attendees are required to RSVP online at cfin.us/2026AgSummit.
