
Fairfield Memorial Hospital has announced an active search for a qualified candidate to fill the full-time role of Director of Plant Operations. This senior leadership position will play a crucial part in supporting the hospital’s mission to provide high-quality healthcare to the local community.
The Director of Plant Operations is responsible for managing the safety, functionality, and overall efficiency of the hospital’s physical environment. Duties include oversight of engineering, maintenance, groundskeeping, safety, and security. As the hospital’s designated Safety Officer, the Director will ensure all facility operations meet regulatory requirements and best practices while working closely with hospital leadership on capital projects, budget management, and ongoing facility improvements.
Ideal candidates should possess seven to ten years of supervisory experience in plant operations, maintenance, or facilities management, along with in-depth knowledge of building systems, safety standards, and preventive maintenance. A bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred.
The position offers a competitive salary range of $75,000 to $125,000, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, and disability insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, flexible scheduling, and opportunities for professional growth.
