A Fairfield man was issued a Notice to Appear following his arrest Tuesday afternoon in Burnt Prairie. According to the White County Sheriff’s Department, a deputy observed a 2002 GMC Sierra traveling west just before 3 p.m., crossing both the center line and fog line multiple times. The deputy conducted a traffic stop near Lewis Scrap Yard.
The driver, identified as 64-year-old Phillip Bailey, was unable to provide a driver’s license but did present a photo ID. A check with dispatch revealed that Bailey was driving on a revoked license, leading to his arrest. He was also cited for Improper Lane Usage.
Bailey was booked and then released with a White County court date set for March 24th.
