The Cisne FFA Poultry Judging team—consisting of Lillian McCarthy, Bryli Flexter, Aidyn Dickey, Rylee Dillon, Esme Krupp, Shane Locey, and Mikkie Hearle—finished in 2nd place at the Section 23 Poultry Judging Career Development Event (CDE) held at North Clay High School on February 17th.
Individual Honors:
Mikkie Hearle was named First Place Overall Contestant.
Lillian McCarthy received Fifth Overall Individual.
The event included 64 members representing 10 schools. Students competed by grading eggs based on interior and exterior specifications, identifying retail cuts of chicken, judging live birds, grading ready-to-cook birds and processed products, and completing a written test.
