WAYNE COUNTY LAW ENFORCEMENT MAKES MULTIPLE DRUG AND WEAPONS ARRESTS FOLLOWING SEARCH WARRANTS

Wayne County Sheriff’s Deputies and Fairfield Police made several arrests in Fairfield following the execution of two separate search warrants.

Tuesday at approximately 2:44 p.m., Wayne County Deputies conducted an investigation that led to probable cause for a search warrant at the residence of 39-year-old Attila J. Caldwell in Fairfield. During the search, officers recovered two handguns, a shortened “sawed off” shotgun, numerous rounds of ammunition, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia. Caldwell was arrested at the scene and transported to the Wayne County Jail. He faces preliminary charges of unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

This (Thursday) morning at approximately 1:30 a.m., Wayne County Deputies and Fairfield Police executed a search warrant at the residence of Jerry W. Carter in Fairfield. The warrant followed an investigation by the Sheriff’s Office. During the search, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were located. Five individuals were taken into custody as a result of the investigation:

Jerry W. Carter (65), Fairfield: Possession of Methamphetamine

Traci M. Carter (56), Fairfield: Possession of Methamphetamine

Ronald Dunlap (49), Fairfield: Possession of Methamphetamine; Wayne County Warrant (Contempt/Possession of Methamphetamine)

Lonnie L. Griffith (47), Fairfield: Possession of Methamphetamine

Michael A. Vaughan (49), Fairfield: Possession of Methamphetamine

 

All suspects were transported to the Wayne County Jail pending further court action. The investigations are ongoing.
