Two candidates are in the running for the Republican nomination for District 20 Regional School Superintendent, with no Democratic contenders on the ballot. Sarah Emery of Carmi and Shain Crank of Galatia will face off in the upcoming Illinois General Primary.
Sarah Emery currently serves as Assistant Superintendent in the District 20 Regional Office of Education, where she has worked for six years. Shain Crank brings 16 years of experience in special education and is the Superintendent and Principal of Galatia Grade School District.
District 20 Regional Office of Education serves nine counties in Southern Illinois: Edwards, Gallatin, Hamilton, Hardin, Pope, Saline, Wabash, Wayne, and White.
Voters will decide between Emery and Crank in the Illinois General Primary on March 17th
