A district judge has sentenced an Olney, IL man to 28 years in federal prison after he pled guilty to producing child pornography of a 13-year-old minor.
37 year old Joseph Jared St. Pierre pled guilty to one count of production of child porn. Following his release from prison he will have to serve 15 years of supervised release, according to reports.
Documents say law enforcement officers responded to a report of sexual assault in July of 2024 when the mother of a 13-year-old discovered a video on the minor’s cell phone of the minor engaging in sex acts with St. Pierre. St. Pierre later admitted to engaging in sexually explicit conduct with the minor on three separate occasions in Olney.
The Richland County Sheriff’s Office and Homeland Security Investigations contributed to the investigation, and the case was prosecuted by U.S. Attorney David Sanders.
