The North Wayne Community Unit School District #200 Board of Education will hold its regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, March 18th at 6 p.m. at Cisne Middle School. The meeting will cover a range of topics including personnel changes, financial matters, curriculum updates, student trips, and facility bids.

The board will consider approval of the consent agenda, which includes minutes from the previous meeting, personal leave and dock day requests, renewals of athletic association memberships for Cisne High School and Cisne Middle School, and the acceptance of two staff resignations effective at the end of the school year. Summer Braden will step down as Cisne High School Assistant Coach for volleyball and softball, while Kera Vinson will resign as Cisne Middle School RTI Aide and Cisne Middle School Head Volleyball Coach. The board will also officially rehire Lauren Grace Conard as Cisne Middle School Math Teacher, a name accidentally omitted during last month’s rehire process.

Financial business includes approval of bills, review of the treasurer’s report, and an income review. The board will also hear communications, visitor comments, and a superintendent’s report.

Updates on the district study/evaluation from BLDD and ongoing curriculum review are on the agenda under old business. In new business, the board will discuss and consider kindergarten placement for three incoming students, approval of overnight student trips for Cisne High School FCCLA and post-prom, and seeking bids for fuel and rock for the upcoming fiscal year.

An executive session may be held to discuss personnel matters, including the Mt. Erie 4th grade position and Cisne Middle School Head Softball Coach position for the 2026-27 school year. Any actions resulting from the executive session will be addressed before adjournment.

The meeting is open to the public.
