Carmi Police, assisted by the White County Sheriff’s Department, executed search warrants at five homes early last Friday morning as part of an extensive drug investigation. Nine individuals were arrested after officers discovered illegal drugs and paraphernalia. Police Chief Jason Carter noted that several children were present at some of the residences, resulting in additional charges related to child endangerment. The raids began shortly before 5:30am. Those taken into custody and lodged in the White County Jail in Carmi include;
