The Fairfield Community High School Board is set to meet tonight (Thursday) at 6:00 p.m. for its regular monthly meeting.
After the approval of the February meeting minutes and approval of bills, the Board will recognize various visitors and the student focus.
Next will be Committee reports from the Finance Committee, Personnel Committee, and Building/Transportation Committee followed by the Superintendent Report and the Principals Report.
Under new business, the board will consider renewal of their IHSA membership, renewal of their catastrophic insurance, action on an Intergovernmental agreement with OWVRS, action on the purchase of a 2026 65-passenger Saf-T-Liner bus with an accessibility lift, approval of the bid for storage solutions from Bradford Systems for work in the Band, Choir, and Multipurpose Rooms, action to begin bidding on a Request for Proposal to begin work on Various District Classroom Renovations.
The Board will then enter into Closed Session to Discuss information regarding appointment, employment, retirement, or dismissal of an employee, and a collective negotiating matter between the public body and its employees.
After returning to Open Session the Board will consider or take action on the employment of a long-term substitute, the employment of multiple non-tenured teachers for the 2026-2027 school year, the employment of a CTE teacher, the employment of all non-certified employees and pay rate for 2026-2027, approval of a substitute bus driver, a volunteer Softball Coach, a volunteer Baseball Coach, accept the resignation of the Girls Head Tennis Coach, and the employment of the Principal and a 3-year contract for the Principal.
