Families in Southern Illinois are invited to a complimentary pediatric orthopedic screening clinic in Mt. Vernon, courtesy of Shriners Children’s St. Louis and hosted by Mount Vernon Lodge #31. The event is designed for children who show signs of a bone, muscle, or joint condition, or for those seeking a second medical opinion. At the clinic, children will be evaluated to determine if their orthopedic issue is treatable at Shriners Children’s St. Louis. The hospital provides comprehensive medical, surgical, and rehabilitative care to children with orthopedic conditions, regardless of their family’s ability to pay or insurance status. If further treatment is needed, complimentary transportation may be available through the local Shrine Center upon request.
