Wayne City was led by Bryson Caudle who went 2-6 with a Double, RBI and Stolen Base; Logan Schuster who went 2-3 with a Double, RBI, and Stolen Base; Dawson Wood who went 1-3 with an RBI and 3 Stolen Bases; and Eli Gardner and Kayne Gregory who both went 1-3 with a Double and 2 RBI’s. Dawson Wood picked up the victory, going 6 innings, giving up 7 hits and 1 earned run with 9 strikeouts.

The Bulls are coming off a 132-124 home win over the Houston Rockets on Monday night. Chicago is tied for 11th place in the Eastern Conference with a 29-and-42 record. Tonight’s game tips off at 6:00PM.

The Pacers begin a three-game homestand tonight. Indiana will be looking to build off a big win when it hosts the Los Angeles Lakers in Indianapolis. The Pacers’ recent victory snapped a 16-game losing streak.

The Chicago Cubs wrapped up Spring Training with an 8-3 loss to the New York Yankees at Sloan Park. Alex Bregman and Miguel Amaya both homered in the losing effort, while Edward Cabrera was charged with the loss after surrendering five runs on seven hits in four-and-a-third innings. The Northsiders went 14-and-17 in exhibition play. They host the Nationals on Opening Day tomorrow.

Joel Hofer made all 22 saves to earn the shutout as St. Louis has won back-to-back games. The Blues are in seventh place in the Central Division with 69 points. They host the Sharks tomorrow night.

The Blackhawks held off the Islanders 4-3 from UBS Arena. Nick Lardis, Ilya Mikheyev [[ mih-KAY-ehv ]] and Tyler Bertuzzi netted first-period goals. Frank Nazar’s goal in the second period stood as the game-winner as Chicago snapped a two-game skid. The Blackhawks are still in last place in the Central Division with 67 points. Chicago visits Philadelphia tomorrow.

>>MLB Regular Season Begins Wednesday

(Undated) — America’s Pastime is back. The Major League Baseball regular season kicks off on Wednesday between the Yankees and Giants from San Francisco. The traditional Opening Day slate features almost a dozen games on Thursday, which includes the defending World Series champion Dodgers battling the Diamondbacks from LA. This season also debuts a new, automated ball-strike challenge system where players can appeal pitch calls made by home plate umpires. Each team gets two challenges per game.

(St. Louis, MO) — The St. Louis Cardinals are back from Spring Training. The Cardinals will open the 2026 regular season with a game against the Tampa Bay Rays at Busch Stadium tomorrow afternoon. St. Louis will try to snap a three-year playoff drought this year. The Cardinals finished in fourth place in the NL Central with a 78-and-84 record in 2025. Matthew Liberatore takes the mound tomorrow. First pitch is at 3:15pm and can be heard on WOKZ-FM 105.9 on the St. Louis Cardinals Radio Network.

(Chicago, IL) — Baseball Hall of Famer Frank Thomas is suing the Chicago White Sox and several retailers over unauthorized jersey sales. Cook County, Illinois court filings show Thomas alleges companies used his name and number-35 on “City Connect Two-Point-Oh” jerseys without permission. Thomas claims the merchandise has been sold since April 2025 without compensation. The complaint also cites violations of the Illinois Right of Publicity Act and says the companies profited from his identity. Thomas is seeking damages tied to jersey sales and other losses, along with a jury trial.

(Cincinnati, OH) — An over the hill, Super Bowl winning quarterback is suiting up for another year. ESPN reports Joe Flacco signed a one-year contract with the Bengals on Tuesday. The deal is worth six-million dollars but can reach nine-million with incentives. The 41-year-old was traded from Cleveland to Cincy last season and started 10 games between both sides. Flacco helped guide the Ravens to a Super Bowl 47 win over the 49ers in 2013.

>>Grizzles G Morant Out For Season

(Memphis, TN) — Grizzlies guard Ja Morant will miss the remainder of the season as he recovers from a sprained UCL in his left elbow. Morant was limited to just 20 games this season in which he averaged 19.5 points and eight-point-one assists. He has not played since being hurt on January 21st against the Atlanta Hawks. Morant was the subject of rumors ahead of the trade deadline, but Memphis could not find a trade partner.

>>NBPA Rebukes Bucks

(Undated) — National Basketball Players Association criticized the Bucks on Tuesday. The NBPA said that forward Giannis Antetokounmpo is “healthy and ready to play” and implied Milwaukee is violating the league’s anti-tampering rules. Antetokounmpo has missed 35 games due to various injuries this season and ESPN’s Shams Charania reported that the team requested that Antetokounmpo sit out the rest of the season.

(Undated) — The Warriors will be without a key member of their lineup for the rest of the season. Golden State forward Moses Moody suffered a torn left patellar tendon in the team’s overtime win over the Dallas Mavericks on Monday. Moody sustained the non-contact injury when his left knee buckled while planting for an attempted transition dunk late in the game. The 23-year-old is reportedly set to undergo surgery Thursday and will face a lengthy rehab process. Moody averaged 12.1 points through 60 games played this season.

(New York, NY) — The Knicks remain red hot after topping the Pelicans 121-116 at Madison Square Garden. Jalen Brunson led all scorers with 32 points for the Knicks. He also tied Mikal Bridges with a team-high seven assists. New York has now won each of its last seven games. Zion Williamson led the Pels in scoring with 22 points. Jeremiah Fears scored 21 points off the bench. New Orleans has now dropped back to back games.

>>North Carolina Men’s Basketball Fires Head Coach

(Undated) — One of college basketball’s “blue blood” programs will have a different look next season. North Carolina head men’s basketball coach Hubert Davis will not return next year. Davis informed his team of his departure on Tuesday night. He has nearly 5.3-million-dollars of guaranteed money left on his deal. A national search for his replacement is underway. The Tar Heels went 125-and-54 in five seasons with Davis at the helm.

>>WNBA Finalizing Longer Season

(Undated) — The WNBA is extending its season under a new collective bargaining agreement. The WNBA Players Association says its latest possible end date is November 21st and could stretch to November 30th in 2028 due to the Olympics. League officials are also increasing the number of games to as many as 50 by 2027 and 52 by 2029. This follows a planned expansion to 18 teams. Additional changes improve player benefits, facility standards, and staffing requirements across the league.
