The Illinois Secretary of State’s Office has opened applications for its fourth annual summer job program, offering valuable paid work opportunities for students across the state.
About 120 paid positions are available for college, trade school, and graduate students, as well as graduating high school seniors who will be enrolled in college or trade school this fall. Additionally, a limited number of slots—25 in total—are open to high school students ages 16 and older. Positions are available across all 25 Secretary of State departments and at DMV facilities statewide.
Interested applicants should visit the Secretary of State’s website at ilsos.gov/summerjobs to apply. Candidates are required to submit a resume, completed application, and a cover letter explaining their interest in working for the Secretary of State’s Office. Applicants may also list up to three preferred work locations.
This program provides students with hands-on experience and a chance to explore potential career paths in public service.
