The Food and Drug Administration has announced a recall of several peeled garlic products due to improper cooling and storage during transport, posing serious health risks to consumers.
On Friday, Tops Friendly Markets initiated a recall of Garland Fresh Peeled Garlic, citing improper cooling procedures during transportation. Customers who purchased the recalled garlic are urged to return the product with proof of purchase to receive a full refund. The company warned that consuming the affected garlic could result in health problems or even death.
Earlier in the week, Tops also recalled Christopher Ranch peeled garlic for similar improper storage concerns. Consumers are advised to check their garlic products and follow recall instructions to ensure their safety.
