Kiersten Vaughan got the win for the Lady Mules with a 6-inning No-hitter, picking up 14 strikeouts along the way.
Wayne City’s Kylie Coy took the loss for the Lady Indians going 6 2/3 innings giving up 8 runs on 10 hits with 1 strikeout.

The Chicago Bulls aim to avoid a sixth loss in a row when they visit the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden tonight. (Detroit, MI) — The St. Louis Cardinals go for their third win in a row when they visit the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park this afternoon. The Cardinals are coming off a 2-1 home win against the New York Mets on Wednesday. St. Louis is off to a 4-and-2 start this season. Michael McGreevy takes the mound for the Cardinals today. First pitch is at 12:10pm today and can be heard on WOKZ-FM 105.9 on the St. Louis Cardinals Radio Network. The pregame show starts around 11:15 this morning.
The Chicago Cubs will try to get on a winning streak when they visit the Cleveland Guardians at Progressive Field today. The Cubs just took two of three from the Angels at home earlier in the week. The Northsiders are off to a 3-and-3 start this season. Chicago hasn’t announced a starting pitcher for today’s game. First pitch is at 3:10PM.
The Chicago White Sox look to get back in the win column when they take on the Toronto Blue Jays in their home opener from Rate Field this afternoon. >>NCAA Men’s Tournament Resumes Saturday With Final Four
(Indianapolis, IN) — The NCAA men’s basketball tournament is back. A trip to the title game is on the line when a pair of teams battle in the Final Four from Indianapolis on Saturday. The three-seed Illinois Fighting Illini will try to go to their first National Championship game since 2005 when they take on two-seed UConn in the Final Four from Lucas Oil Stadium tomorrow night. The Illini have won all of their tournament games by double-digits. Tomorrow night’s game gets underway at 5:09pm and can be heard on WFIW-AM 1390 on the Illini Sports
Radio Network with the pregame show starting just 4pm. The nightcap features a pair of Number-1 seeds duking it out. Arizona takes on Michigan. The National Championship will take place on Monday.

(Phoenix, AZ) — The NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament has reached the Final Four. All four number one seeds are in Phoenix for the national semifinals on Friday. In the first game, UConn and South Carolina will face off in a rematch of last year’s national title game. The Huskies beat the Gamecocks 82-59 behind 24 points each from Azzi Fudd and Sarah Strong. Texas and UCLA will match up in the nightcap. The Longhorns beat the Bruins 76-65 in November in Las Vegas.

(Undated) — A five-time Pro Bowl cornerback is calling it a career. Stephon Gilmore announced his retirement from the NFL on Thursday following an illustrious 13-year career. The 35-year-old entered the league as a first-round pick of the Buffalo Bills out of South Carolina. He spent his first five seasons with Buffalo before joining the New England Patriots, where he was a member of the team’s Super Bowl 53 team. He then played one season each for the Carolina Panthers, Indianapolis Colts, Dallas Cowboys and Minnesota Vikings. He finishes his career with 617 tackles, 32 interceptions and 149 passes defended.

(Henderson, NV) — The Raiders are adding a four-time Pro Bowl quarterback a few weeks ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft. Las Vegas has agreed to terms with Kirk Cousins to a deal that could reportedly be worth up to 172-million-dollars over five years. The deal will pay Cousins 20-million-dollars in guaranteed money in 2026, marking the 11th straight season the signal caller’s contract will be fully guaranteed. Next season’s salary is the only fully guaranteed money on a deal that also includes a club option for two years at 80-million-dollars. The 37-year-old will join a team that is widely expected to select Indiana QB Fernando Mendoza with the first overall pick later this month.

(Cincinnati, OH) — The Bengals are adding depth to their defensive backs. The team announced on Thursday that Kyle Dugger agreed to a one-year contract. The safety spent last year with the Patriots and Steelers where he racked up almost 60 tackles to go with a pair of interceptions. Dugger joins fellow safety Bryan Cook, who signed a three-year deal worth more than 40-million dollars during free agency.

(Pittsburgh, PA) — The top prospect in baseball is heading to the big leagues. The Pirates called up Konnor Griffin ahead of their home opener against the Orioles on Friday. The 19-year-old is expected to take over at shortstop after slugging four homers in Spring Training. However, his average was well below two-hundred and he spent five games with Triple-A Indianapolis this season where he hit .438 in just over 20 plate appearances.
