Linda Lou Wright, age 82, of Flora (formerly of Clay City)

Linda Lou Wright, age 82, of Flora, and formerly of Clay City, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Axiom Gardens in Flora.

She was born August 25, 1943, in Sailor Springs, the daughter of Robert and LaVern (Jenkins) Frank. She was united in marriage to George Wright on December 5, 1963, in Louisville, and together they shared 45 wedding anniversaries until his passing on April 27, 2009.

Linda worked at Bel-Tronics Corporation in Flora for 32 years, beginning as a line worker and rising to plant manager through hard work and dedication. She found great joy in cooking for others and baking with her grandchildren. She cherished family gatherings and enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling, and simply spending time at the lake. Linda also found happiness in watching the birds at her feeders. She will be remembered for her strong work ethic, her love of family, and the warmth she shared with everyone around her.

She is survived by her children: Naomi (Roger) Murphy of Flora, Mary (Tim) Sterner of East Carondelet, and

John (Kyley) Wright of Fairfield; 4 grandchildren: Scott Greenwood, Ashley (Chad) Harrell, Sean (Jonalyn) Goodman, and Madison Wright; great-grandchildren: Garrett Greenwood, Corbin Harrell, Colton Harrell, Addley Emmons, Bradessa Scott, Ryston Scott, and Laith Harrington; a brother: Gary (Sandy) Frank of Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in passing by her parents; husband; grandparents: Dave and Drusella Jenkins and Otto and Eva Frank; brothers: Don Frank and Carroll Lee Frank; and Scott’s fiancée: Krystal Shroyer.

A private graveside ceremony and interment will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Wright Cemetery in Wayne County. Arrangements are by Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora.
