Former Fairfield resident, 77-year-old Robert “Bob” Emerson Lee passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 19, 1949, in Fairfield, Illinois, to Ray and June Lee. Bob grew up in Fairfield and graduated from Fairfield Community High School in 1967 and was a member of the FCHS Mules Basketball team.
Bob proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps, where he developed a lifelong sense of discipline, honor, and commitment. His time in the Marines was among his proudest accomplishments, and he carried the values he learned there throughout his life.
Bob married the love of his life, Judy Chase, April 20th 1974, and together they shared over five decades of marriage, family, love, and unwavering support.
Following his military service, Bob was a successful manager for oil rigs, followed by a long career as a Service Adviser for Rick Jone’s. Bob was known for his skill, reliability, and strong work ethic. Bob served on the El Reno School Board from 1997-2014. He also was a deacon at First Baptist Church El Reno and coached many little league teams throughout his life. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who always put God and his family first.
He is survived by his wife, Judy; his children, Jeremy (Michelle) Jeff (Angie) and his cherished grandchildren, Madison, Ethan, Jace, Adair and Reece Lee. Bob is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Gary and Terry.
Bob was known for his quiet strength, generous spirit, and unwavering support for those he loved. Bob held a deep and abiding belief in Jesus Christ, which guided him throughout his life and was the foundation of his strength. In his free time, he enjoyed reading about history and war, camping with friends and watching his grandkids’ activities. He will be remembered for his thoughtful advice, sarcastic remarks, unending care for his family, humbleness, poems, steadfast faith, encouragement, amazing stories and the countless lives he touched.
A viewing will be held at Wilson Funeral Home in El Reno, OK Monday from 10am to 7pm with visitation from 6pm to 7pm. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 7th at First Baptist Church of El Reno, OK at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to First Baptist Church of El Reno’s building fund or a charity of your choice in Bob’s memory.
