JEFFERSON COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY TO HOST MUSICAL CONCERT FEATURING POLLY LAUNAY SATURDAY

The Jefferson County Historical Society will present a special musical concert featuring acclaimed violinist Polly Launay on Saturday at noon in the Schweinfurth Museum.

Polly Launay, a well-known regional performer, will delight audiences with a selection of violin favorites. Beginning her violin studies at age eight, Launay has mastered both classical and bluegrass styles and earned her bachelor’s degree from Greenville College. She performs as a solo artist and with groups including the Paducah Symphony.

As a special addition, vocalist Mike Launay will join Polly for part of the concert.

Admission to the event is free, with donations appreciated. The concert is sponsored by Hughey Funeral Home.
