Friday morning, a joint law enforcement effort led to the arrest of 50-year-old, David P. Compton at a residence in Fairfield. The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department and the Fairfield Police Department assisted the United States Marshal’s Service in executing a parole warrant issued by the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Authorities arrived at the residence and took Compton into custody without incident. He is currently being held at the Wayne County Jail, where he awaits transfer to the Illinois Department of Corrections.
No additional details regarding the arrest have been released at this time.
