
The Carmi Rifle Club will be holding its annual NRA Women’s Instructional Shooting Clinic on Saturday, May 2nd offering women an opportunity to learn about firearm safety and shooting in a supportive and educational environment.
The event will kick off with registration at 8:30 a.m., followed by a firearm safety orientation. Morning instructional sessions will cover shotgun and .22 caliber handgun shooting, while the afternoon will offer the chance for participants to try rifle and centerfire handgun shooting. All instruction will be supervised by NRA-certified instructors, range safety officers, and experienced club members.
Participants will enjoy a picnic lunch provided by the club, and all firearms, ammunition, and targets will be supplied. The clinic aims to provide high-quality training in a relaxed, non-competitive, and fun atmosphere. The event is made possible through the support of the Friends of the NRA Foundation.
The Carmi Rifle Club is located north of Carmi at 1576 County Road 1250 E, just off Illinois Highway 1. The clinic will conclude at approximately 3 p.m.
