Emily Spray, an Edwards County 4-H member, has been awarded a $500 Illinois 4-H Food Advocacy Grant to help support the local blessing box in Albion. The project is a collaborative effort between the Edwards County High School’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes club and 4-H.
With the grant funds, Emily purchased food to help keep the blessing box stocked for community members in need. The Blessing Box is located at the Edwards County Health Office at 329 N. Fifth St. in Albion, and is available for anyone in the community who may need a little extra help.
Community members who wish to support the project are encouraged to drop off non-perishable food donations at the Edwards County Extension Office.
