On Monday, the Lady Mules and Cisne Lady Runnin’ Lions were both in action at the Lady Foxes Invitational Meet at McLeansboro. Fairfield placed 1st overall while Cisne finished 10th. Notable individual results for the Lady Mules were: Wren Braddock-1st in 100m; Remi Taylor-2nd in Pole Vault, Taylor’s height of 8’6” broke the FCHS school record; Emily Vaughan-1st 100m Hurdles, 1st 300m Hurdles, and 1st Long Jump with Vaughan beating the Lady Foxes long jump meet record with a distance of 16’3.5 inches; and Mahogany Langford-1st Shot Put. For Cisne, Ashtyn Smith finished 3rd in Long Jump and 3rd in Triple Jump.

The St. Louis Cardinals fell back to .500 with a 9-3 loss to the Cleveland Guardians at Progressive Field. The Cardinals surrendered three runs in the top of the fourth and trailed the rest of the way. Jordan Walker homered in the losing effort, while Matthew Liberatore was charged with his first loss after allowing four runs on six hits in five innings. St. Louis dropped to 8-and-8. White Sox Trade Sosa To Blue Jays
(Chicago, IL) — The Chicago White Sox are moving on from one of their infielders. The team shipped Lenyn Sosa to Toronto in a trade yesterday. The Southsiders received minor league outfielder Jordan Rich and a player to be named later from Toronto to complete the deal. Sosa was hitting .212 with no home runs and three RBI’s this year. The White Sox host the Rays tonight.

The St. Louis Blues overcame a two-goal deficit during a 6-3 win over the Minnesota Wild at Enterprise Center. The Blues trailed 3-1 in the second period before scoring five unanswered goals to end the game. Colton Parayko, Otto Stenberg, Pavel Buchnevich, Theo Lindstein, Jake Neighbours and Jimmy Snuggerud all lit the lamp in the victory. The Blues have won four of six. They host the Penguins tonight.
