Seranthony Dominguez allowed a game-tying home run to Junior Caminero before the Sox walked a pair of players with the bases loaded. The identities of Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. and former Browns tight end David Njoku were used. Packers safety Xavier McKinney also fell victim to the impersonation. Court documents claim Davis used wigs and fake driver’s licenses to secure the funds.

(Undated) — The Chargers are not planning on moving on from one of their key offensive playmakers this offseason. Los Angeles general manager Joe Hortiz shut down trade rumors surrounding wide receiver Quentin Johnston with one week to go before the 2026 NFL Draft. Hortiz has said that he has made and had zero calls regarding the 2023 first-round pick. The Chargers have until May 1st to pick up Johnston’s fifth-year option that would pay him 18.1-million-dollars fully guaranteed. The 24-year-old had 51 receptions for 735 yards and eight touchdowns in 14 games played last season.

The NCAA’s Football Oversight Committee recommended an earlier official start to the season that would begin in 2027 before Labor Day weekend. Under the proposal, the regular season would begin on the Thursday of what is now called Week Zero, and still end on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Schools would have 14 weeks to schedule 12 games allowing for “flexibility for potential changes to the postseason.”
