FAIRFIELD COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL BOARD APPROVES MULTIPLE MEASURES, STAFF CHANGES AT THURSDAY MEETING

The Fairfield Community High School Board of Education met Thursday night, addressing a packed agenda with several key decisions impacting the upcoming school year. The Board approved several important measures under new business:

The Consolidated District Plan received unanimous approval.

Dairy bids for Fiscal Year 2027 were accepted, ensuring continued supply for the district.

Board of Education meeting dates and times for FY27 were set.

Roof repairs under the Health Life Safety program were approved, with Irwin Roofing selected for the project.

The purchase of Wayfinder Software, which will allow real-time tracking of bus locations, was also approved.

The Board also conducted a first reading of Press Policy 121.

STAFFING CHANGES AND PERSONNEL DECISIONS

Following a closed session, the Board returned to approve several staffing changes:

The resignations of Boys Head Tennis Coach and Assistant Maintenance Director, both held by Josh Braddock, were accepted.

The resignation of Head Cheer Coach, Daphne Pruitt was also approved.

Rick White was appointed as both the Long-Term Substitute and the new Head Boys Tennis Coach.

Bailey McMeen was hired as the new Head Cheer Coach, while Tim Ukena will take over as Head Cross Country Coach.

The Board approved the employment of all remaining Fall and Winter coaches.

Branden Hallam was hired as a halftime Career and Technical Education Teacher, and Sarah Rush as a halftime Business Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.

Kent Gregory will assume the role of Assistant Maintenance Director.
