Friday and Saturday, April 24th & 25th, Mt. Vernon will pay tribute to America’s heroes as the Global War on Terror Wall of Remembrance arrives at the Mt. Vernon Airport in conjunction with the 20th Annual Lance Corporal, J. Kyle Price Memorial Ride.
The traveling memorial, which stretches more than 100 feet in length, serves as a powerful reminder of the values of honor, strength, courage, and sacrifice. The Wall of Remembrance provides a place for visitors to reflect on the true cost of freedom and to remember those who have served and sacrificed in the Global War on Terror.
Coinciding with the wall’s arrival, the Lance Corporal J. Kyle Price Memorial Ride will see participants take to the roads on motorcycles, symbolizing respect and solidarity with veterans and fallen heroes. The annual event also features opportunities for the community to gather, share stories, and support causes important to veterans and their families.
Events like these highlight Mt. Vernon’s deep commitment to honoring its heroes and fostering a strong sense of community. The tribute is not just a destination, but an experience that brings people together to remember and support those who have served.
