After three decades serving up their beloved “Almost World Famous” corn dogs, Jan and Dean Linder of Fairfield are stepping away from the festival scene. The couple has retired and sold their iconic corn dog stand to Big Boy Catering, also based in Fairfield.
For 30 years, Jan and Dean were a staple at fairs and festivals throughout Southern Illinois, drawing crowds with their signature treats and friendly service. Now, Chris and Lori Robson, owners of Big Boy Catering, will carry on the tradition—and the famous slogan.
The Robson’s launched their new ownership of the stand on Friday at the Wayne County courthouse square.
