The Fairfield Grade School Board of Education met Monday night, with Superintendent Kristina Gardner delivering her report. The district has received 81% of its revenue and expended 75% of the budget for fiscal year 2026. The current food service balance is $278,188.19. The district has been approved to continue the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program, ensuring free lunches for all students through 2030.

Recent maintenance included $3,043.67 for Bus #3 (tires, headlight, and exhaust repairs), $610.88 for Bus #8 (inspections and exhaust repair), and $1,398.60 for Bus #13 (inspections and service). The district is also working with three prospective bus drivers who are at various stages of the licensing process.

Planned summer projects at North Side include roofing work, one tree removal, gravel work to expand staff parking, city road work in front of North Side, and ADA sidewalk improvements. Staff have also submitted additional summer maintenance requests. The annual review and revision of this plan allows the district to qualify for grant funding.
