On April 16th, twelve students, two from each district competed in the Wayne County Modern Woodmen District Speech Contest held at Center Street School. The top three contestants included:
1st place: Rowan Sanders, 8th grade, Geff Grade School
2nd place: Emersyn Barbre, 8th grade, Jasper Grade School
3rd place: Ruby Manning, 7th grade, Wayne City School
