>>Steelers Use UFA Tender On Aaron Rodgers
(Pittsburgh, PA) — The Steelers are making a bizarre decision. The team placed an unrestricted free agent tender on Aaron Rodgers. It allows Pittsburgh to gain a compensatory draft pick if the veteran quarterback signs elsewhere. The 42-year-old still hasn’t made a decision on his playing future, but ESPN reports the Steelers are “confident” he’ll return. Rodgers is stringing the organization along after finishing with a bottom-six quarterback rating last season.

>>NBA Proposing 3-2-1 Lottery To Curb Tanking
(Undated) — The NBA is proposing an overhaul of its draft lottery system to discourage tanking. Multiple reports say the league’s new “Three-two-One lottery” plan would expand the lottery to 16 teams and reduce odds for the bottom three teams. Those teams would receive fewer lottery balls and face limits on how high they can draft. The proposal also prevents teams from picking first overall in consecutive drafts and from having three straight top-five picks. The move gives the league more power to penalize tanking and will be voted on by owners next month. If passed, the plan could be implemented beginning in the 2027 NBA Draft.
>>Phillies Fire Rob Thomson; Attempted Alex Cora Hire
