New court dates have been scheduled in the ongoing first-degree murder case against Jasmine L. Farny in Jefferson County.
Farny, 31, of Dahlgren, was arrested in early February in connection with the fatal shooting of 47-year-old James D. Cross.
Court records show a final pretrial hearing is now set for July 7, with a jury trial scheduled to begin July 14. Both proceedings are set for 9 a.m. in Jefferson County court.
Investigators said Cross was found dead Feb. 1 in a parking lot along East Bonnie Road near Belle Rive. An autopsy determined he died from multiple gunshot wounds.
Authorities have stated that Farny and Cross knew each other and had previously been in a relationship. Farny has participated in earlier court hearings via Zoom while remaining in custody as the case moves toward trial. The case is still pending.
