Wayne County Treasurer, Yvette Anderson has announced that 2026 mobile home property tax bills were mailed on Wednesday.
The due date for payment is July 1st. Payments received after that date will be subject to a late fee of $25 per month, with a maximum penalty of $100.
Officials say anyone who owns a mobile home and did not receive a tax bill should contact the Wayne County Treasurer’s Office.
Payments may be made by cash or check, either by mail or in person at the Treasurer’s Office, located at 301 East Main Street, Suite 201 in Fairfield, Illinois. A drop box is also available on the west side of the courthouse for after-hours payments. Credit and debit cards are not accepted for mobile home tax payments.
The Treasurer’s Office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Residents with questions are encouraged to call the office for additional information.
